BENEFITS AND USES:

This medication is a steroid inhaler that helps to reduce and prevent swelling and inflammation in the lungs. This is a controller inhaler that helps to control symptoms such as breathlessness in asthma of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

DIRECTIONS:

Take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. You may refer to the Patient Information Leaflet to see the instructions on how to take this medication. Steps to use Inhaler: 1. Unscrew the cap of the Turbuhaler anticlockwise and lift off the cap 2. Hold the turbuhaler upright and load it by turning the coloured base of the turbuhaler in one direction as far as it will go 3. Twist it back in the opposite direction until you hear a click. This means the Turbuhaler is primed and ready for use. 4. Breathe out gently, away from turbuhaler. Hold the turbuhaler without covering the air inlets and put the tip of the mouthpiece between your lips. Be sure you make a good seal. Breathe in quickly and deeply through your mouth and hold your breath for 5–10 seconds. 5. Remove the turbuhaler from your mouth and breathe out. Replace the cap and screw it shut. 6. If another dose is required, repeat steps 1 to 5. Note: You will not get more than one dose at a time. You must inhale the medicine before loading the device again.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE?

This medication may cause the following side effects: - Oral Candidiasis (Fungal infection of the mouth) - Pharyngitis (Inflammation of the mucus membranes of the throat) Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
